Preparing for Your Departure
How to get to Thailand?
Once we have worked out all the details regarding your position and contract, we will advise you to book your flight to Bangkok, Thailand. We recommend flying in at least 2-3 days prior to your start date if possible, so as to have sufficient time to adjust to your new settings.
Lertlah will reimburse your light from North America at the end of your 12-month contract. The amount is a fixed amount equivalent to 1800 CAD. If you are flying from another geographical area (i.e. China, Japan, Korea, Australia), Lertlah will reimburse flights based on your e-ticket receipt not exceeding 1800 CAD.

Health
Health Insurance and Immunizations for Thailand
Lertlah provides general health insurance for its international teachers after successfully completing their probation period (3 months). We recommend subscribing to 90 days travel insurance.
There are no compulsory immunizations required for Thailand; however, we do recommend that you consult your general practitioner prior to flying to Thailand.

Accommodation
Lertlah Schools have 3 Campuses in the Bangkok Area. Lertlah School Petkasem Road and Lertlah School Kanchanapisek Road are only 13 kilometers away from each other, in southwest Bangkok. Teachers working at either 2 campuses will be offered an apartment at our teacher residence (download Piya Apartment Brochure pdf.)
Lertlah School Kaset-Nawamin Road is located in east Bangkok; Lertlah School can pre-arrange accommodation for you there.
Teachers may find their own accommodation if they wish. However, we recommend using one of our preferred apartments for the first month in order to have suitable accommodation upon arrival.
